The all-new Cat 255 and 265 compact track loaders are a generational leap in power, performance, and comfort. Built from customer-driven designs, the new skid steers improve upon the already extensive capabilities of the D3 series – delivering machinery that perfectly fits within your fleet and jobsite.
Created for your evolving needs, the 255 and 265 compact track loaders are ready to work even harder and lift even higher. They raise Cat’s already rigorous standards for engine performance and feature re-engineered components, a larger cab design focused on operator comfort, and more standard technologies that run Cat Smart Attachments and the Cat Product Link Elite system.
“We kept the DNA of the D3 series while reimagining the possibilities of loader performance using voice of customer feedback to lead the way,” says Trevor Chase, product application specialist for Caterpillar.
The Cat 255 replaces the 259D3. Its C2.8T 74 horsepower engine offer 13% more torque than its predecessor.
The 10 feet 4 inches in lift height is best in class and makes loading trucks and other tasks easier. Additionally, you get 36% more tilt breakout, 26% higher lift breakout force, and a 24% increase in rated operating capacity.
A redesigned cab is roomier for the operator. A better cab layout makes it easier to climb in and out. Seat options are designed for more comfort and include ventilation options that can cool or heat the operator as conditions warrant.
Standard available technology will improve operator performance and ease of use, including instant recognition of Cat Smart Attachments and making available the Cat Product Link Elite system, which tracks a host of metrics about the machine and its use.
The Cat 265 replaces the 279D3 and 289D3. Its C2.8TA engine, also at 74 horsepower, brings an impressive 43% boost in torque over the previous models.
It offers 11 feet in lift height, plus an industry leading 19% higher tilt breakout force and 22% higher lift breakout force.
A redesigned cab adds precious inches for the operator, improved access into and out of the cab is improved as well as seating options with improved ventilation for year-round comfort.
The 265 works seamlessly with Cat Smart Attachments and make in-cab adjustments to monitors and joysticks, allowing the operator to work efficiently. It also makes available to Cat Product Link Elite system.
