WE ARE HIRING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

Truck Technicians

As a Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Technician, you will be diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines and components on all makes and models of on-highway diesel trucks and buses.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on buses and on-highway diesel truck engines and components.
  • Repair and/or replace all components of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, suspension systems, drive trains, electrical systems, steering, braking, material handling, and operator comfort systems.
  • Determine extent of necessary repairs including identifying major power-train overhaul needs and prepare orders for required services.
  • Perform welding and brazing, fabricate and modify parts, equipment, miscellaneous structures and attachments.
  • Complete all documentation (work orders, parts orders, inspections, warranty support, comments and time sheets) in a legible, accurate and timely manner.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established time, quality standards and safety procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Service Coordinators

The Service Coordinator acts as the primary hub for the service department.  As the Service Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating repair work with customers & technicians, paying invoices and providing overall administrative duties for the department.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Schedule, quote, and discuss repair services with customers and technicians.
  • Provide updates to customers on services and invoices both in person and over the phone.
  • Communicate with management about any issues related to invoicing, customer complaints, and technician needs.
  • Dispatch field service technicians to customer sites.
  • Open work orders and updating systems with service history.
  • Process and close work orders for completed work.
  • Create purchase order numbers and code invoices for accounts payable.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Adherence to all Yancey Bros. Co. Safety procedures and standards.
  • Other administrative duties as assign by manager.
Parts Warehouse Associates

As the Parts Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for pulling stock orders for customers, technicians and other stores in the Yancey family.  The Parts Warehouse Associate will also be responsible for daily cycle counts, maintaining a clean warehouse and using the man lifts in a safe manner.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform and enter daily cycle counts each morning prior to receiving stock or billing out any items.
  • Receive all stock orders each day and properly bin locate any items that do not already have bin locations assigned.
  • Inspect worn cores before issuing credit.
  • Review all part and core credits issued from previous day to verify receipt.
  • Build hoses utilizing proper assembly and contamination control techniques.
  • Pull all orders in a timely manner including branch transfers received prior to cut-off, delivering shop orders, and assisting customers with loading.
  • Maintain a clean warehouse by sweeping and cleaning each day.
  • Process and return cores each week.
  • Respond to all warranty parts return requests each week.
  • Purge unneeded items from warranty hold areas monthly.

  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.
